Propanc Biopharma, Inc. is an Australian-based clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company.
Their focus is on developing new cancer treatments for patients suffering from pancreatic, ovarian, and colorectal cancers. Their lead product, PRP, is a novel patented formulation that targets solid tumors.
Challenge
How do you demonstrate a highly complex and unique cancer therapy and explain it to a wide audience without dumbing it down for a science or investor audience?
Solution
Like all of our Mechanism Of Action videos, we always start with the problem, often the MOD (Mechanism Of Disease), and then showcase our client’s solution via their MOA (Mechanism Of Action).
Most industry MOA’s just start with the solution, leaving audiences with no context for why it matters. In contrast, we view all our science stories as foundational stories for our client’s drug, device, or platform. In this case, the ‘problem’ was to educate the audience about cancer stem cells, and how they resist radiation or chemotherapy and remain dormant for long periods of time. But our goal wasn’t just to communicate information. Ceptor Studio’s “MOA” is to create a story that is scientifically accurate and that the targeted audience can clearly understand. Like any good story, it has a beginning, middle, and end, along with conflict and resolution.
We started our narrative arc with a tumor enriched by blood flow enveloped by dramatic music and a masterful narrator to set the scene. Then we dive into the tumor cells showing how conventional cancer therapies kill replicating cancer cells but have little effect on cancer stem cells. Like the 1966 classic film “Fantastic Voyage” (a frequent inspiration for our creative team)
we go deep inside tumor cells. We show cancer stem cells as translucent orbs intermingled with highly detailed blood cells. With featured players, like cancer stem cells and pancreatic proenzymes, along with an organic logo animation; It’s a fantastic journey to clearly explain in two minutes how Propanc’s PRP’s Mechanism Of Action works inside the body to improve lives, and outcomes, for cancer patients.
